Food Systems Multiversity
Our food system is broken—and we need change-makers to heal it.
The Food Systems Multiversity is a collaborative learning initiative that weaves together local wisdom and global perspectives to empower individuals to become change-makers who can lead the transformation towards sustainable and socially just food systems.
At the heart of the Multiversity lies a commitment to action-reflection or praxis-based learning. Through participation, observation, communication, analysis, dialogue, and visioning, we help learners become both thinkers and doers. Learning takes place both online and in the field, across multiple locations and with diverse communities. This unique model bridges science and practice by building on people’s movements, ensuring that knowledge remains dynamic, rooted in lived realities, and responsive to local contexts.
The Multiversity brings together educators, practitioners, farmers, researchers and students from various backgrounds to create a space for collective learning, reflection, and innovation — shaping a new generation of food system leaders. We have been conducting courses since 2015.
